The Coral Vines’ debut album - Elibrion Waves, weaves the sound of friendship, community and creativity into a shimmering blend of psychedelic, electronic and rhythmic textures which deliver a unique fusion of nostalgia, futurism, melody and elibrion that creates a sonic experience that feels both intimate and expansive all at once.
Lyrically, Elibrion Waves was put into the hands of collaborators, friends and acquaintances, poems, improvisations, memories and suggestions all formed at the edges of the sounds where pictures were painted through language and nationality.
The album’s title, derived from a fictional word created by the band, represents a state of balance between the aforementioned elements of friendship, community, creativity and elibrion, a concept reflected in the dynamic shifts and contrasts within each of the songs.
In Elibrion Waves, The Coral Vines have crafted a debut album that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant. It’s an album that invites listeners to lose themselves in its layered aural complexity whilst finding moments of clarity within the sounds. This release sets a promising precedent for the band’s future explorations and establishes them as innovators within the psychedelic indie rock scene. The album is a bold statement of the band’s unique musical vision.
